We will embark on a voyage through the mythical Titicaca Lake, cradle of the legendary Inca Empire. We will stop briefly at the floating islands of the Uros, an old pre-Inca community that took refuge on the waters of this lake, running away from Colonist Empire. We will see how native people make their rafts using totora reeds, junco (plant) of the lake. We will then move on to
Amantani Island. Upon arrival we will be welcomed by the islanders who will show as the home of the family we have been assigned and with whom we will share their costumes and meals during our stay. After a delicious lunch, we will visit the altars on Pachatata Island. We will have dinner with our host families, and later enjoy a peña show and an exhibition of typical garments and dances.
